Healthy Bodies and Spirituality

Have you ever noticed that when you are really sick, you can’t in actuality concentrate on anything – and that includes spiritual things? When I’m sick, it seems like every bit of strength I have goes to getting well and I can’t seem to get spiritual about anything! I know none of you have ever dealt with this, but I sure have (*wink*).

In fact, being sick doesn’t bring out the best in me or anyone else. Some people think you get more spiritual when you’re sick, but I’ve found it to be just the opposite. There are times when I get outright cantankerous and I’ve seen others do the same thing. That’s just NORMAL. When people don’t feel good, they are not themselves.

This is one of the reasons Jim and I believe in being as healthy as possible. When your body is not healthy, you’re not as strong spiritually! This is one of the ways the devil will attack God’s people in the End Times, yet not many think about it at all. If you’re worn down physically, you’re less likely to be strong in your prayer life, or anything else.

If ever we need to be in good health, it’s in these tumultuous days. We live in a world that is morally, spiritually, and economically sick. Staying well ourselves is imperative so that we are not overcome by this world and all of its spiritual darkness. We need to be healthy in our bodies so that our spirits can be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might!

I hope you know that you were chosen to be here during the Last Days and that God has a special plan for your life. I hope you know that every single Child of God is important to the plan of God for these Last Days. I hope you take care of yourself and get as healthy as you can possibly get. Do what you can do – eat right – take care of that temple – and leave the rest to God!

  1. It is definitely true that when we are not feeling well it is harder to pray, read the Word, etc. Our focus is on ourselves along with worry, fear, etc. That’s why it’s important to do all we can to stay well and be healthy.

  2. I have to say since i heard about Silver Sol on your program. First I researched. Then I started taking it. Before this, I had problems with bronchitis, pneumonia 4 times. Inflamation in the shoulder, dental problems, and a history of cancer. I noticed, no more bronchitis, no flu, no pneumonia. Shoulder better. Dentist wanted to know what I was doing differently, my gums looked so healthy. Best of all, every time I go to the Dr. and have mammogram, I am clear. My doctor told me once if everyone was as healthy as me he would be out of business. I know and believe in divine healing. I have had those times in my life. But something so simple as taking a swig of silver sol at night, leaving it in my mouth for 5 or 6 minutes, then letting it trikle down my throat. I feel great. I am almost 60 years old. I am in my garden working out, have muscles in my arms. Weight is about 125 lbs at 5 foot 4 inches. I see neighbors 30 years younger than me who have no energy and can hardly go. I buy it by the case, it is much cheaper for me since I take it every day. There are answers for what ails us. I originally started taking it after cancer. But it has effected so many other areas of my life. God Bless and glad you and your precious husband are working on health issues. I believe we are in the last days, health is important. There are those whose eyes are closed to this. But they are very interested in their health. So praise be to God for help

  3. Staying whole, body, soul and spirit. Learn the tricks of our enemy.. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. Christ comes to give us life. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. I was reading recently where God’s temple was not repaired. Let go for awhile. Until someone decided to repair the temple. Recognize that our bodies sometimes need repair. That old saying an ounce of prevention iis worth a ton of cure is right on. Its the same with our minds. When the fiery darts come putting up the shield of faith and renewing our minds with the Word. Good post Lori
