We’ve been talking on the show lately about the importance of hearing from God about everything! In the times we are living in, it’s not just a nice thing, it’s a necessary thing to hear from God and know what He is saying.
The primary way we can hear from God is reading His Word, of course. But, there are other ways that God communicates to His people that are very Biblical as well. God says in Joel 2:28 and again in Acts 2:17 that in the Last Days, He will pour out His Spirit on men and women alike, and they will have dreams and they will see visions.
Another way God communicates with His people is by speaking directly into their spirit. The Bible says that God is spirit and we are made in His image. That means we are a spirit too, living in an earthly body (for the time being.) The idea of God speaking to us directly should not be foreign to us.
Our family has certainly experienced the above scriptures vividly, and we continue to experience dreams and visions almost daily. There were three of us; Nena, myself and Jim who recently had dreams of an impending catastrophic disaster. We don’t take them lightly. We take them as a warning to prepare for what is coming.
Early in my Christian journey, I was walking along the beach one day and God started to speak to me about my future ministry. He told me that one day I would speak to wave after wave (representing million of people) about abortion. At the time, I didn’t know how this could possibly happen. But, when God brought Jim and I together and I began to speak at conferences across the nation and talk to television audiences that spanned the globe, I recalled that vision.
I just want to encourage each of you that God will give you dreams and visions, and He will speak to you directly when you believe and trust that He can. Jeremiah 33:3 NLT says to “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”
I don’t know about you, but I need to hear from God on a daily basis for everything! I believe He can and will show us every step to take and every move to make in the Last Days.
Call on God today. He is there. He is willing. He will do it!
I believe God gives us Dreams and I have for years referred to them as “God Dreams”. I’ve had some dreams that were easy to interpret and others that didn’t come with interpretation til years later. I’ve seen future events, some sort of funny just to get my attention hat so that I would realize that God will use dreams to speak to me, and anyone who would listen and obey the Lord. The dreams are for everyone who believes in Him, not just certain people as some would have us to be decieved by or even doubt. Times are going to get real tough and I believe the Lord will be a shield for those who believe in Him and that shield is a mighty shield. Consider the events that are happening on this earth under this earth and above the earth and in the heavens. There is a shifting of the earth but I also believe there is a bigger shift unseen, the shifting of the dimensions not seen with the natural human eye and the dimensions I am speaking of are the heavens. I believe more prophecy is fullfilled that is not recognized because like in Jesus’ day when he walked the earth, the disciples didn’t “see” what he meant. Are we so close to the picture that we can not see? Stand back and pray, ask God to reveal to you what you should be doing to prepare. Especially Spiritually! We are living in the most exciting of Times ever. These are the Last Days. God be with each one who hungers for him and all who desire to walk much closer with Him and I pray you share God’s Love and not be in fear of what is ahead. Revelation says, Blessed are you who read this Book….so go read The Revelation of Jesus Christ!! My most favorite Book. I think I have read this book over a thousand times! Seriously….And I still get something NEW and fresh every time I read it. I just go deeper and deeper. Now where in this book will you find a pretrib rapture. Sorry if I burst your hopes. Test my words (theology) and prove me wrong. Lori, you and Jim are such a Blessing!! I too have had dreams lateley. Last yr I dreamed about and explosion. I was dreaming that I looked out my mothers living room window. I saw an explosion. Fires everywhere men running around in chaos. There were men standing in water. Then I woke up. I turned on the news last night and there was an explosion in Main from a ship. It looked just like my dream. I had one last week about water. My family and I were sitting on a porch and we were waiting for something. All of sudden I yelled here it comes all of us just were frozen then the wave went over our heads and I woke up. I dont no what this one means but something is about to happen big.
LORI,I AGREE..GOD TOLD ME TO VISIT MY MOTHER 2 DAYS BEFORE SHE PASSED.I FELT LED TO WISH HER HAPPY MOTHERS DAY,EVEN THOUGH MY VISIT WAS ON WEDNESDAY,SHE DIED ON THE 11TH,MOTHERS DAY WAS THE 13TH.I PRAYED FOR HER.MY COMMENT WAS THAT WHEN GOD SHOWS US SOMETHING,WE CAN’T CHANGE IT NO MATTER HOW HARD WE TRY…SHE AGREED WITH ME…SHE KNEW THAT I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO KEEP HER ALIVE…YET GOD’S CALL CAME..AND SHE WENT HOME..I TOLD HER THAT MY BROTHER AND SISTER WOULD TAKE HER OUT ON MOTHER’S DAY,SO I WAS GIVING HER MY LOVE AND WISHES EARLY…I DID NOT KNOW THAT GOD WAS ALLOWING ME TO BE THE ONLY ONE TO WISH HER A HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY…OR THE ONLY CHILD OF HERS THAT WOULD VISIT HER THE LAST TIME BEFORE SHE WENT TO HEAVEN..I DID TELL HER THAT MAY WAS A SPECIAL MONTH,JEWISH HOLIDAYS,AND THE ELECTIONS COMING UP,THE ECONOMY,AND THAT THE 2ND HALF OF THE YEAR WOULD NOT BE AS GOOD AS THE 1ST PART..SHE SAID WE NEED TO PRAY ABOUT IT AND NOT DEPEND ON OTHERS TO DO THE PRAYING.MY AUNT CONVINCED HER THAT MANY PRAYERS WERE GOING UP,EVEN IF WE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THEM…SHE SAID NOTHING..HER LAST COMMENT TO ME WAS;..JOEL,REMEMBER THIS… GOD IS WATCHING YOU…I HUGGED HER AND MY AUNT AND LEFT.THE THINGS THAT WE CAN DO FOR OTHERS [IN LOVE] WHEN GOD SOFTLY SPEAKS TO OUR HEARTS…SHOULD NOT BE DELAYED…OUR LIVES ARE SUBJECT TO END FROM THE DAY WE ARE BORN….THANK GOD, I HEARD AND OBEYED..
Thank-you Lori for all that you do. I agree with the other posters here, I very rarely remember my dreams and a couple of weeks ago I had a dream and remember it to the tee. Not sure of the meaning but I believe it was definitly from God, just wish I knew the interpretation of it!
it is amazing the dreams that are coming, warning us to get ready. I too believe something of catastrophic proportions is looming. Yet I have no fear, just concern for those not preparing. The most important thing is to prepare our hearts and work on preparing our homes
