Egyptian Authorities Delay Crackdown

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Egyptian authorities delayed their plans to end two sit-ins by Pro-Morsi supporters.

BBC Arabic reported that a security official hoped the reports that they would be removing the camps would lead people to disperse. The crowds appeared to be increasing through the day Monday.

A judge extended the detention of President Mohammed Morsi by an additional 15 days.

Morsi is being held over allegations of plotting attacks on jails and jailbreaks in 2011 with Hamas during the revolt against Hosni Mubarak.

The Muslim Brotherhood has warned of bloodshed if the camps are dispersed. Over 250 people have been killed in fighting since Morsi’s removal.
