Egyptian Islamists Call For “Intifada”

Luke 21:9-10: [Jesus said] "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

Islamists in Egypt are calling for intifada, or a call for Islamic revolution, in an attempt to restore Mohammed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood to power.

Islamists have marched on the defense ministry and Republican Guard headquarters chanting they are going to free Morsi from military detention. However, several media sources say the turnout was so low that they were never considered a viable threat to attempt a jailbreak.

Islamic extremists have increased violence in the wake of Morsi’s removal. They executed a Christian priest on Saturday, seized the North Sinai governor’s palace on Friday night and have attacked multiple military checkpoints.

In all 35 are confirmed dead and thousands injured in attacks.

A new Islamic terror group, Ansar al-Sharia (Supporters of Islamic Law) has stated they are gathering arms and training terrorists for jihad against the government.
