Ebola Outbreak Kills 31 In Congo

Revelation 6:7,8  NCV  When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill people by war, by starvation, by disease, and by the wild animals of the earth.

<blockquote>“I believe the four horses of Revelation are already out of the barn; they are beginning to ride in our generation.”

An Ebola outbreak in Congo has killed 31 people and is threatening major towns, according to the World Health Organization.

An epidemic has been officially declared. The death toll has doubled in the last week.

“The epidemic is not under control,” WHO official Eugene Kabambi told Reuters in Congo’s capital Kinshasa. “On the contrary, the situation is very, very serious. If nothing is done now, the disease will reach other places and even major towns will be threatened.”

The news comes on the heels of an outbreak of a more deadly Ebola strain in neighboring Uganda that killed 16 people last month. Health workers say the two outbreaks do not appear to be related.

Ebola is extremely contagious and has a fatality rate of 90%. There is no known treatment or vaccine for the disease spread by close personal contact.
