Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. A 29-year-old woman died as a result of complications from a late-term abortion in Germantown, Maryland Thursday.
The woman was under the medical care of Dr. LeRoy Carhart who has been connected to previous deaths including the 2005 death of Christin Gilbert in Wichita, Kansas.
The woman, whose name is being withheld, reportedly had been spotted entering Carhart’s clinic looking “pale and weak.” Thursday morning her family transported her to a nearby hospital suffering from chest pain and other issues after repeated unsuccessful attempts to reach Dr. Carhart or the clinic. She was suffering from massive internal bleeding and died around 9:30 Thursday morning due to the injuries.
The woman had traveled from out of state to obtain the third-trimester abortion.
“It is so tragic that this family had to lose not only their nearly full-term child, but also their wife, daughter, and sister,” said Michael Martelli, Executive Director of the Maryland Coalition for Life. “What is most appalling is that the State of Maryland refused to hear the pleas of this community, and has allowed this man to continue to butcher women and children.”
On the same day that the woman died because of the abortion performed by Dr. Carhart, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene posted on their website a license issued to Carhart’s clinic to perform abortions without even conducting a single inspection of the facility.
