U.S. Army To Send Troops To Africa

Mark 13:8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Rev 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"4 Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

The U.S. Army will be sending small groups of soldiers into as many as 35 African nations starting early next year.  The mission of the troops will be to train and equip African troops to fight Islamic extremists on the continent.

However, the troops will also prepare for full-scale U.S. intervention in the region should a situation arise that requires increased military presence.

The rise of the extremist group, Boko Haram, in Nigeria has led to a serious rise of Islamic extremism across the whole of Africa.  The September 11th attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was connected to an Al-Qaeda group based in Africa.

The top U.S. commander in Africa noted to Fox News that the troops will have a small drone capability should it become useful during their time in-country.

Commanders said the biggest challenge will be for U.S. troops to understand the customs and languages of the troops they will be training during the mission
