Terrorist Group Kills Seven in Turkey

The PKK, recently given official terrorist group designation by the US government, has launched another attack against Turkish soldiers killing seven and injuring at least 56 others.

The terrorists attacked a convoy with rockets. Most of the injured came from a nearby bus that caught fire during the attack. The group has recently ratcheted up their attacks on government forces without concern for civilian collateral damage. Several children have been recently killed by the group’s bombings and rocket attacks.

The government has been launching assaults on the rebel forces officially killing 123 rebels in the last 10 days. However, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that 500 Kurdish rebels were “rendered ineffective” this week. The government frequently uses the “rendered ineffective” phrase to denote rebels they have killed.

In total, over 40,000 people have been killed by PKK terror attacks began in 1984.
