A terrorist attack on a busy road in northwest Pakistan has killed at least 9 and wounded at least 20.
The bomb was intended to take out a van belonging to the Pakistani Air Force but also destroyed two other vehicles including a passenger bus. The attack happened in Peshawar, a stronghold of Taliban and al-Qaeda forces.
The majority of people in the bus were civilians. The bomb contained ball bearings and artillery shells with the explosives according to local officials.
The attack was the second this month by terrorist groups. Earlier this month a homicide bomber killed two people and wounded 19 when he drove his car into one belonging to the US consulate.
