Syria’s Foreign Minister Claims Foreign Terrorists Fighting Government

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem told the United Nations General Assembly that “terrorists from more than 83 countries” are attacking Syrian soldiers and that the “invasion” was similar to the 9/11 attacks on New York.

He also told the BBC that peace talks would not succeed while Turks, Saudis and Qataris are helping the rebels in their battle with the government.

The U.N. has declared the Syrian conflicts as a threat to international stability thanks to the economic strain refugees are placing on surrounding nations. The United Nations refugee organization released a statement saying estimates show 350,000 people will have fled the conflict.

Muallem confirmed to the U.N. that Syria would be co-operating with the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and disposing of their chemical weapons stockpile.
