South Carolina House Passes 20 Week Abortion Ban

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

South Carolina’s House of Representatives have passed a bill that would ban most abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy.

The move brings the state closer to being the latest putting the 20 week restriction on the ending of a child’s life via abortion.

House representatives voted 84 to 29 to approve the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” that bans abortion after the midpoint of a pregnancy except in the case of a woman’s life being at risk.  If approved by the Senate and signed by the governor, it would make South Carolina the 13th state to enact the ban.

Doctors who violate the law could face fines up to $10,000 and three years in prison.

Similar laws are currently working their way through the legislatures of West Virginia and Mississippi.

  1. I guess you could view this as a victory, but in the end it still means killing innocent babies and you
have got to know that Jesus loves babies a lot more than we are capable of doing; How this single one act probably more than any other has brought us closer to our certain doom. Think of it, how is
this any different from parents offering their babies up to Baal? What became of that? Destruction.
Mississippi is hoping to ban abortion all together which shows that they understand the gravity of
the current situation which will call for extreme measures to atone for our sins. With all the open
availability of birth control in schools there should be no need for abortion clinics any longer.

  2. Praise God! It is about time that some states are waking up to the fact that abortion is a sin! I will pray that more states will follow their example. All Christians should be praying for abortion to be banned. God will heal our land if we, as Christians, pray and humble ourselves, and seek God’s face. Keep praying everyone!
