A second major earthquake has shaken the Awaran district of Pakistan killing at least 15 people.
The 6.8 magnitude quake comes on the heels of a 7.8 quake that killed at least 400 people. Officials say the second quake has caused more damaged to the communications and infrastructure of the region because repairs were unable to be made before the second strike.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the tremor could be felt all across the Balochistan province. A local official on Pakistani television said that one village suffered extreme damage to buildings leaving many people trapped under debris.
Separatist groups who have been carrying out terror attacks against the government have plagued the region. The government asked the rebels to refrain while they carry out rescue efforts.
