Northern California Hit By 5.7 Earthquake

Luke 21:11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook northern California Thursday night.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports the quake centered near Greenville in far northeastern California. The USGS reported no major damage or injuries from the quake.

However, residents in the area of the epicenter reported damage.

“Dishes plum out of the counter, computers thrown everywhere,” Allen Shephard of the Quail Lodge near Greenville. He told the Redding Record-Searchlight the lodge itself suffered structural damage.

Reports of feeling the quake came as far away as the San Francisco Bay area, 230 miles from the epicenter.

Aftershocks are in the 2.6 to 3.5 magnitude range.
