New York Businesses Unconcerned About Terrorist Threats

Luke 17:28-30 “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built” but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

Businesses in New York City remain unconcerned after a global terror alert was issued by the State Department on Friday. They believe that the threats will not keep tourists from visiting the city.

The alerts stated “al Qaeda operatives may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the coming weeks.” However, the alert did not mention that New York City faced a direct threat.

Business owners claim that they have trained their staff to handle these situations, but believe that visitors are used to the alerts.

“People have experience, “ said Oliver Lordonnois, general manager of the Mark Hotel on E. 77th Street. “I don’t think [tourists] are canceling their trips because they read…a few embassies are closing.”
