Mississippi is working to close the state’s only remaining abortion clinic since it can’t meet new standards. Otherwise, the state’s clinic has a rather sordid history.

The current owner of Jackson Women’s Health Organization is Dianne Derzis, whose Birmingham abortion clinic was shut down after three abortion patients were sent to hospitals in one day. Inspectors found 76 pages of violations. Cheryl Sullenger of Operation Rescue has checked the background of some of the past abortionists in the Mississippi clinic.

Sullenger, Cheryl”There was one abortionist, his name was Malachy DeHenre,” she describes. “He was suspended in Mississippi and two other states after he botched an abortion on a poor woman that sent her to the hospital for an emergency hysterectomy, and he was also sued for malpractice in several other cases.”
