Mississippi Could Be First State With No Abortion Provider

Matthew 19:18 ESV “And Jesus said, “You shall not murder…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit is about to decide if Mississippi will be the first state in the nation that will not have an abortion provider.

The court is considering a 2012 law that would require all abortion clinics that kill more than 10 babies per year via abortion to have physicians that are certified in obstetrics and gynecology and have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.

The law was passed in April 2012 but pro-abortionists have been challenging the law in courts since passages.  They were able to get a federal judge to issue a preliminary injunction in 2013 saying it was likely unconstitutional because it would close the state’s only clinic.

Governor Phil Bryant said his intent to sign the law was to “make Mississippi abortion free.”

The 5th Circuit is the same court that upheld a Texas law with the same restrictions as the Mississippi law.  That law closes all but six clinics in Texas.

The pro-abortionists say they will “fight to the end” to make sure women can kill their babies in Mississippi via abortion.

  1. When are people going to wake up to what is going on? In the book of II Chronicles it clearly states that IF we will seek His face and turn from our wicked ways and confess our sins and humbly pray, that He will hear our prayers and heal our land. Mississippi has at least seen the big picture and decided to take a stand on it’s own-which requires a lot of guts these days. I say God Bless That State! Whereas it has always been among “the least of these” in income and education and employment and most all things considered of importance, it could finally rise to the top like cream and take it’s place at the top being the first state to honor GOD.
