Islamists Kidnap Foreign Workers in Nigeria

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

A Nigerian Islamic terror group has released a statement of responsibility for the kidnapping of seven foreign workers on Sunday.

The attack in the northern state of Bauchi left a security guard dead.

Ansaru, a terror group that first appeared in 2012, is the same group that kidnapped a French citizen earlier this year. The group is not connected to the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram that has been trying to overthrow the government since 2010.

The raid was the second part of an attack that included an assault on a police station. No officers were hurt but two police vehicles were blown up.

The kidnapping of foreign nationals is a common tactic in the southern part of the state where most foreign workers are connected to the rich oil-drilling companies. The high ransoms for the return of the victims are used to fund the terror attacks on the government.
