Matthew 24:10,11 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Heavy rains have caused flooding and landslides in Indonesia that has left at least 15 people dead.

A government official said that waters in the capital of the province of North Sulawesi are almost seven feet deep. Thousands have fled Manado as the waters and mud raced into the city.

Government officials said that rescue teams and residents are searching through debris and rubble to find survivors. Bulldozers and heavy equipment are being dispatched to the region to help with rescue efforts or corpse recovery.

At least three children are among the dead.

One government official said that many of the dead were helping to dig out from a previous landslide when the storm hit.

“It was horrible,” Lucky Samakud told the Associated Press. “We were immediately fleeing but some failed and buried in the ground.”
