Terrorists opened fire during dawn prayers on Sunday morning in Konduga, 22 miles from Borno’s state capital Maiduguri. Hospital officials in Maiduguri say 26 people are being treated for injuries.

News of the attack is reaching the media as Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau claimed a series of recent attacks on police and military were from his organization. Shekau, who has a $7 million bounty on his head from the U.S., issued challenges to western leaders and showed footage of Boko Haram terrorists opening fire on the military.
