Baltimore Ravens Player Skips White House Visit Because of Abortion

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…”

Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.

Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Matt Birk refused to visit the White House because of President Obama’s words to the abortion provider Planned Parenthood.

Birk, a devout Catholic and staunch pro-life supporters, said that after President Obama said “God bless Planned Parenthood” he had to decline the opportunity to be honored at the White House for the Super Bowl victory.

“Planned Parenthood performs about 330,000 abortions a year,” Birk told LifeNews. “I am Catholic, I am active in the Pro-Life movement and I just felt like I couldn’t deal with that. I couldn’t endorse that in any way.”

Birk has long been active in fighting abortion. In St. Paul, Minnesota, one of the godfather’s of Birk’s children opened a pregnancy center across the street from Planned Parenthood. Birk’s wife Adrianna volunteered at the center. Eventually the Planned Parenthood clinic closed.

“It seems like our society and media want to push pro-lifers to the side and hope that we would shut our mouths and go away quietly,” said Birk. “Let’s not do that.”

  1. Thank God for Matt Birk and his wife standing up against abortion!

How could real Christians vote for a man for President who supports killing babies?

Catholics often show us Christians up when it concerns fighting
    abortion.

  2. Praise rhe Lord for individuals who reverence and fear God more than men, even those of renown. May The Lord bless Matt Birk in unpredented measures and his joy be full for taking a righteous stand, walking in integrity and not catering to persecution. God bless Matt!

  3. I was also shocked at the words, “God bless Planned Parenthood”. So glad someone had the common sense to show others that abortion is a terrible form of murder by not accepting an honor that means nothing from pro-abortionists. God bless Birk and his family.

  4. I am a huge Ravens fan, but I am a bigger Matt Birk fan. Praise God for him standing up for what he believes in, even if its not the popular thing to do.
