Atheists Force Kansas Town To Remove Cross From Logo

Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”

The hostile anti-Christian organization called the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” has forced a small Kansas town to change their logo because of a cross.

Buhler, Kansas, a town founded over 100 years ago by people escaping religious persecution, is facing anti-Christianism again as the FFRF threatened to sue the town until the cross was removed from their emblem.

Mayor Daniel Friesen told Fox News the emblem with the cross included was part of a contest in 1988 during the town’s centennial. In addition to the town emblem, the anti-Christian hate group is calling for the town to remove a billboard from a city park with a cross on it.

“It’s not an issue of appeasing this fringe group,” Mayor Friesen told Fox. “It’s a matter of protecting the community of Buhler from this organization. We’ve got to take the high road.”

One resident said it’s sad that “the minority has finally bullied their way into Buhler.”

  1. Not sure what “taking the high road” means but if Americans value their freedoms, they better stick up for them and fight with every type of weapon available from God and man. Rather than allowing Satan’s servants to intimidate the Christian community; the community can come together and take on this task of fighting for our rights; putting on the whole armour of God and fight to keep our rights. Isn’t the price that our Lord Jesus Christ worth it – worth holding His Name high? These are His battles too. All things are possible with God if you believe. The Holy Spirit loves to go into action for us; stays alert and ready to act on behalf of our prayers.

  2. When selective judgement comes to America and people are crying out where is God. Perhaps God has lifted his hand of protection because of those crying out. God you offend me. We don’t want prayer in school, no 10 commandments posted. We are not a christian nation. The cross offends, the name of Jesus offends. Now I heard today they want a statue taken down. If we do not wake up one day we may find out the Bible offends them. I can almost hear the sound of Moses saying Who is on the Lords side among you? I embrace the cross, for on it my sins were nailed. I bow my knee to Jesus Christ. For scripture tells me that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess. Not some but every knee bows, every tongue confesses. Scripture tells me his Word will endure forever. Not some of the scripture will be fulfilled but all. Jesus is coming, even so come Lord Jesus

  3. I cannot believe what I am reading. Please someone tell that town in Kansas that people who believe in God or Christ have the same rights as those humanists who do not believe in God or say they want freedom from religion. They HAVE A RELIGION ALREADY ITS CALLED HUMANISIM. And humanism in this case is trying to lord it over the people who do believe in God and the cross in that Kansas town. The supremem court has already declared “Humansim” is a religion back in the 70s and 80s. So why don’t the mayor if he is a christian or the town itself who believe i God take the high road in this case and fight them legally to keep that cross up where it stands. I suggest they get ahold of the Christin lawyers at ACLJ at Virgina Beach and let them know whats going on over there in their town with this group of humanists trying to dictate to those of the town that may be Christian or who simply believe in God to KEEP THE CROSS WHERE THE TOWN WANTED IT TO STAND.! I always hear that Christians need to take the high ground, nonsense! Don’t get this out of context for standing for what we believe is true in our own society! If good men and women don’t stand up, evil will begin to prevail in our society. Hey, lets get up off our keisters and blast them legally in the love of Christ that Christian and others who believe in the existence of God also have rights to stand up for what they the town believes as well. May God bless you all. Lets begin to fight for what we who believe in God legally for our rights as American citizens too. Ok Rev. James Moore. I know I was a christian missionary in Bulgaria just before communists fell and in the country of Bulgaria the state killed christians or jailed them in prison for just mentioning or talking about Christ on the streets there or would jail people who truly believed in Christ and expressed it in their society. Whats wrong with us over here where we still have some of the religious freedoms that we still do to stand up for our Christians rights and faith in our own towns and communities too. Are we all going to allow these humanists dictate to us Americans who do believe in God or Christ that we cant express our beliefs in our own towns here in American where we live and work and raise our families to be able to express our faith in the crosses the town or the majority of the town believes in. If this was in a muslim country and that religous humansist group tried to take down a bill board of Mohammad, there would probably be a riot. And the crowd of muslims in that riot would probably go and find this religous group that is wanting to take down this cross in Kansas and burn them to death or stone them.
I believe that the true high road to take is to stand up legally and fight for what we believe as Americans and Christians. For I beieve our religous rights and the rights of that town in kansas is being violated by taking down that cross. That, I believe is taking the correct high Road in todays UnGodly society in which we all now we all live in.
