Editor’s Note: Throughout the scriptures, God has made it clear that shedding innocent blood is murder, and no murderer will enter heaven. In addition to the death of the unborn baby, abortion also substantially harms the women and many times, families, husbands, boyfriends and a whole sphere of relationships connected to and surrounding each abortion. Often, lifelong guilt and other social, relational, spiritual and even physical problems follow the murder of innocent babes in the womb. Pastor Jim Bakker believes that this issue, abortion, may be the single most significant issue that brings God’s judgment on this nation more than any other.
A report in Christianity Today shows that abortion clinics are closing at a record rate with 42 clinics that provided surgical abortions closing their doors this year.
NOVA Women’s Healthcare in Fairfax, Virginia, the state’s number one abortion provider, closed its doors in July. They shut down after not being able to meet health regulations enacted by the state legislature.
The clinic killed over 3,000 babies in both 2011 and 2012.
The report listed a variety of reasons for the closures. The main focus seemed to be a series of laws in various states raising the health care standards on abortion clinics. Many laws require the clinics to meet the same standards as outpatient surgical centers.
Also, two states in 2013 required abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at local hospitals which resulted on more closures.
This sounds like good news at first, but people will just find another way which might be worse.
