45 Dead In Nigerian Church Bombings

Revelation 6:9-11 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.

The African news service BosNewsLife is reporting that 45 people are confirmed dead after a series of attacks on Christian churches in Kano, Nigeria.

The attacks have been attributed to Boko Haram who has called for all Christians to leave northern Nigeria.

A bombing at the Christ Salvation Pentecostal Church killed at least 39 when the bomb destroyed the church. Six other people were killed in two other churches. Witnesses reported four other bombings in the same area.

Aminu Inuwa of the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital said that most of the dead had shrapnel wounds.

The military said that the bombs were inside packages left in and near the church buildings.
