Chuck Crain has been with the Presleys’ Country Jubilee in Branson, MO since 1997 singing back up and belting out his beautiful tenor voice with the Southern Gospel Quartet. His career began during his time with the United States Navy, performing with the Navy’s Blue Jacket Choir in San Diego, California. One Sunday morning, while stationed in Jacksonville, Florida he saw four gentlemen on television standing around a piano singing Southern Gospel music and from there he was hooked.
His career has centered around Southern Gospel ever since, singing with the Blackwoods, performing on the 700 Club, PTL and Jimmy Swaggart. After moving to Branson, Chuck formed his own group, The Heartland Quartet which was nominated Horizon Group of the Year.
Later in his career he was asked to sing backup for Wayne Newton and found himself sharing the stage with Wayne for many years. In 1996 Chuck was asked by the Presleys to consider helping with another Southern Gospel Quartet. He wanted to follow what was in his heart and his love for gospel music won out in the end. His fans will tell you, they are very glad it did!
