We recently had our Ready Now Expo and it was amazing!  Hundreds and hundreds of our loving partners joined us on Grace Street for the tapings of the Jim Bakker show.  As I was sitting on the set, waiting for filming to begin, I looked out on all of those beautiful faces.  Gratitude chills went up and down my spine.  I could not help but remember this past year and my battle with Hepatitis C and the outpouring of intercession and prayer from thousands of people on my behalf.  Wonderful people like those that were out on Grace Street smiling back at me.

There were moments last year that I didn’t think I would make it.  The medication would arrive each month and I would anticipate what would happen to my body as soon as I took it every Friday.  Watching what this was doing to my husband and children was sometimes more than I could bear.  I held on to Christ as my life line especially when I didn’t have the strength to get up out of bed at all.  But there were moments when I would lie there, listening to beautiful praise music, that I could feel the prayers going up to the Lord from friends and my family in Christ all over the world!   Unselfish, loving prayers for my health and well-being poured out from their hearts and lifted me up! When a new treatment option was available but our insurance would not pay for it, the outpouring of prayer pushed over every obstacle in the way of my healing! I have not personally met most of those who faithfully placed my name in front of the Lord for healing but I can never be grateful enough!

Jeremiah 17:14 NCV Lord, heal me, and I will truly be healed. Save me, and I will truly be saved. You are the one I praise.

My doctors have now declared me to be free of Hepatitis C!  I am slowly gaining my strength and life back! One thing is absolute: I will never take my health for granted!   For as long as the Lord wants me to remain on this earth I will be taking good care of myself!

It was God that held me in my darkest hours.  It was His guidance and miraculous presence that brought me through it all.  Thank you Jesus, for being with me, guiding me, healing my body and my heart.   My thankfulness overflows for Your Love.

And thank you my prayer warriors!  It was by your faith that healing was nurtured!  My assistant Lynn has put all the cards and letters, scriptures and poetry that were sent to me into scrapbooks. She knows me well and understands how much they mean to me.  I am so very blessed! I appreciate you so much!  These momentous of one of my most difficult battles will be something that I will forever cherish.  They are the reminders of the power of intercession and love.  It was God who healed me; but it was you who lifted me on the wings of your prayers!  Thank you with all of my heart!
