A new study at Johns Hopkins says a virus that infects human brains has been discovered and the virus lowers human intelligence.
The algae virus impacts cognitive functions including visual process and special awareness according to a report in the Independent UK newspaper.
The study by scientists at Johns Hopkins and the University of Nebraska started completely by accident during an investigation into throat microbes. The DNA of virus that infects green algae was found in the throats of healthy individuals.
“This is a striking example showing that the ‘innocuous’ microorganisms we carry can affect behavior and cognition,” Dr. Robert Yolken told the Independent.
In the study, 40 people in 90 tested positive for the algae virus. All 40 of the positive subjects scored lower on tests to measure speed and accuracy of visual processing. They also had lower attention spans.
The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Aside from the bird viruses & the animal viruses, now we have plant viruses that cross over into us humans. Wonderful. Kind-of makes me wonder all the more -Did God really set-up His creation with a safety “kill switch”? In other words, get too far out from the paremeter & ka-boom!

Just a thought, seeing how I’ve a strong background in the genetic engineering field (past tense); I wonder if somewhere in the deep recesses of a bio tech type laboratory, someone is creating a radiological virus? A virus that gets into the DNA of a person & then the radiologic particle goes ka-boom. Even goes ka-boom in unison with 10,000 other host DNA encrypted viruses. Could & would create a mess. Especially if an organ is specifically targeted, such as the heart. OK, so this one in the article goes for the brain. I guess it gives the phrase that people nonchalantly profess / confess of “blowing my mind” a new reality, doesn’t it? Proverbs 18:21
