Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”
Another school has been forced to remove a Bible verse after the virulent anti-Christianist group Freedom From Religion Foundation filed a complaint.
Parkersburg South High School in West Virginia had Philippians 4:13 hanging in their gymnasium and also posted on the school wrestling team’s website. The team has been using the verse “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” as a way to encourage the team’s members to strive to be their best.
The FFRF, which is not even located in West Virginia, filed a complaint with the school earlier this month as part of their campaign to eradicate Christians and any reference to Christianity from the public.
The foundation’s attorney claimed the simple existence of the verse meant the school was endorsing Christianity.
Wood County Superintendent said they painted over the verse on the wall of the gym that was above the entrance to the wrestling room and has removed it from the website.
While it becomes more apparent each day that end-time prophecies are rapidly coming together, and that the spirit of anti-christ is playing its part, I can’t help but be a bit saddened by this story, and many others like it.
This nation was founded on Christian principals, and it’s mind-boggling to see that as it crumbles, and is nothing compared to its former glory, our current administration somehow believes that the remedy lies in their resolve to wipe out all evidences of those beliefs that built it. Satan is marching them toward that great and glorious day of Christ’s return. It’s funny, sometimes, to me, on one hand, being a Christian and knowing that satan is defeated, but tragic that he’s fooled millions, convincing them to go along with his plan to wipe out God’s people – His chosen ones, and His church. Unless they allow their eyes to be opened, they will burn with satan in the end. That is not funny.
This anti-christian group, not even based in W. Virginia, learned about one little sign, and a verse that strengthened and encouraged those kids, so determined that it had to come down. It’s sad that the group bothered with fighting the sign’s being there, but even sadder, I think, that the school felt the need to cave to their demands. I think I would have forced them to take me to court, and fought it all the way, even though the court may have ordered it removed. I just don’t believe it was a good example of standing for Christ to those students. Sorry.
