Narrative
The show began with Cindy Jacobs praying and ministering over several audience members during which time the subject of abortion came up, particularly the staggering impact on the Black community. “Up to 70% of Black babies in the womb are aborted,” she said. It is an unbelievable genocide that more people need to speak out against. Pastor Jim compared the murder of so many lives to what happened in Germany under Adolf Hitler. He cited statistics which claim that Black babies make up nearly half of the abortions that take place in America and referred to a news report that 17,800 aborted fetuses were found in a California dumpster, most of whom were from Black mothers.
Cindy noted that Black and Latino communities are targeted for abortion clinics and called it “racism.” She added that the largest abortion facility in the western hemisphere sits in Houston, Texas, built in the oldest Latino barrio and close to that city’s largest low-income Black community. “Why didn’t they build it in some White community?” she asked.
Referencing the book of Amos, Pastor Jim explained how God punished the people of Ammon for “ripping open” the wombs of pregnant women and then compared the destructive tornadoes and flooding that strike American cities regularly to the chastisements God brought against the transgressors in Biblical times. The only hope people have today, he continued, is in repenting and turning to Jesus Christ. The masses have tried everything else, including psychology, philosophy, government programs to cure society’s ills and a host of other things. He warned America sits on the edge of the abyss. “God cannot stand the stench of his babies being murdered,” but if the country begins to honor the unborn, he believes the tide can turn.
Pastor Jim shared about a book he had received from a woman who, as a teenager, came to Heritage House at Heritage USA. Heritage House was a girls home just like Lori’s House will be. Her baby was saved and she gave it up for adoption. She written Pastor Jim a letter and said “You gave me a career. My baby was saved. I’ve just been reunited with my baby, but the most important thing, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior in your girls home.” The devil tried to tell Pastor Jim that everything he had done at Heritage was in vain. Letters, like this one, came to him while he was in prison and encouraged him when the devil tried to beat him down.
This is one of the aims of Lori’s House, to offer assistance to young girls and women in need of guidance and help for themselves along with a child, whether in the womb or already born. Pastor Jim added that some ask why the show’s co-hosts, Zach, 20 and Sasha, 18, are so young and he recalled that his ministry started when he was around their age. Zach replied that he studies everything Pastor Jim says and views him as a model of Jesus that he strives to emulate to his peers. Sasha added that through her experience with the Bakker’s, she has learned that showing love to others is the true model of Jesus that people want to see.
Mike Jacobs then encouraged viewers to partner with the efforts of Pastor Jim and Lori to assist in completing the work of Lori’s House and the paving of the Legacy Road leading up to the home. God uses partnerships, he said, to develop each of us into our destiny. Pastor Jim closed by sharing that the legacy is all about “winning souls,” whether through preaching, outreach or the many other ways the Bakker ministry seeks to serve.

I Thessalonians 5:17 KJV Pray without ceasing.
Amos 1:13-15 NCV This is what the Lord says: “For the many crimes of Ammon, I will punish them. They ripped open the pregnant women in Gilead so they could take over that land and make their own country larger. So I will send fire on the city wall of Rabbah that will destroy its strong buildings. It will come during a day of battle, during a stormy day with strong winds. Then their king and leaders will be taken captive; they will all be taken away together,” says the Lord.
