Thieves Steal Family’s Presents And Family Dog

2 Timothy 3:1-8 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.

For thieves in Tampa, Florida, it wasn’t enough to ruin a family’s Christmas by stealing all of the toys for their children.

The thieves also stole the family dog.

Melody Russell, a single mother with two children, came home Monday night to find her house had been ransacked. All the Christmas presents she had saved to buy for her children were gone along with the TV, computers and many other valuables. The burglars broke in through a sliding glass door in the back of the home to hide themselves from neighbors.

Russell’s children, ages 7 and 5, began to cry when they discovered their 12-week-old Shih Tzu, Honey, was also taken.

“[My daughter] Marissa, she could barely talk last night because she was just crying and crying,” Russell told Fox Tampa Bay. “It’s hard. It’s like losing a family member. It really is.”

However, there was a piece of Christmas magic when the Tampa police department discovered the robbery. Several officers and dispatchers immediately hit the local malls to buy 30 Christmas gifts for Russell’s children so they would have something under their tree on Christmas morning.
