Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.”
The American Civil Liberties Union once again forced the removal of a Christian item from a public place after reaching an agreement with the Jackson (Ohio) City School District.
The school had been displaying a portrait of Jesus since 1947 in a “Hall of Honor” display featuring famous people throughout history. The ACLU sued for the removal of the picture claiming it caused students and visitors to “suffer permanent, severe and irreparable harm and injury.”
The district will pay the ACLU and the anti-Christian Freedom From Religion Foundation around $95,000 as part of the settlement. The portrait of Jesus was removed from the school last April.
The school said they made the settlement rather than waste limited taxpayer resources for the school fighting the anti-Christian group and the ACLU.
