Matthew 24:10,11 Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Mexico’s interior minister has told multiple media outlets the death toll from the double whammy of Hurricane Ingrid and Hurricane Manuel is now at 110.

Another 68 are missing and presumed dead after a landslide covered over half of the village of La Pintada in Guerrero state.

“We are confronting rainfall that has practically been the most extensive in the history of the entire national territory,” Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto told the BBC Sunday. He also told the BBC that the country’s emergency funds are not adequate to meet the destruction from the storms.

Almost ¾ of Mexico’s 31 states were impacted in some way by the twin storms.

Five police officers died Thursday when their helicopter rushing to help in La Pintada crashed into a hillside.

Forecasters expect the rains to fall on the Gulf Coast and interior of the country until sometime during the day Tuesday.
