Drone Strikes In Yemen; Americans Urged To Leave

Luke 21:9-10: [Jesus said] "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

A pair of U.S. drone strikes killed al-Qaeda terrorists in Yemen overnight as officials urged all Americans to immediately leave the country.

The four terrorists killed in the air strike were not on Yemen’s 25 Most Wanted list that was released on Monday.

A Yemeni official said the strikes were part of four carried out in the last 10 days.

The U.S. State Department issued a statement urging all Americans to leave Yemen immediately due to “terrorist activities and civil unrest.” All non-emergency U.S. personnel from the embassy was ordered to immediately leave the country.

U.S. officials confirmed intercepting a message from Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri to the leader of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula instructing the Yemenis to “do something.” Nasir al-Wuhayshi, the leader of AQAP, is reportedly now the #2 overall commander in the terrorist organization.

The British foreign office said they were shutting the UK’s embassy in Yemen and bringing their staff home. The embassy will remain closed until “it is safe for employees to return.”

  1. How the U.S. State Department be so irresponsible as to state how they found out information of this magnitude? It is no wonder there are Snowdens out there if this is the training our government employees are receiving. Isn’t there a confidentiality clause?
