North Korea Declares “State of War”

Luke 21:9-10: [Jesus said] "When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away." Then he said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom."

North Korea has declared a “state of war” with South Korea in their latest round of rhetoric.

Few are taking the declaration seriously as North Korea has been threatening South Korea in some form since a nuclear test in February. Technically the war between the nations has never ended because the armistice in 1953 was never turned into a peace treaty.

The U.S. National Security Council released a statement saying they’d heard about “reports of a new and unconstructive statement from North Korea.”

The U.S. had flown B-2 bombers to South Korea last week in what was believed to be a warning to North Korea. Unconfirmed reports have U.S. F-22 Stealth Fighters flying to South Korea to join military exercises in the region.

North Korea reportedly has revised a attack plan to target U.S. bases in Hawaii, Guam and South Korea.
