Spain Hits Another Record Unemployment High

Revelation 6:5,6 NCV When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!"

Unemployment in Spain has topped 5 million citizens for the first time in the nation’s history.

Over 59,000 people were added to the unemployment roll in February raising the nation’s total to 5.04 million.

Spain is reeling with its second recession in three years. The collapse of the real estate market in the country brought down banks and other businesses. The country has received bailout funds from the EU for the government and banking system.

One in four Spaniards are unemployed across all demographics. Over half the workers under 24 years old are unemployed.
