U.S. Begins Airlifts To Mali

Revelation 6:3-4 NCV When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" Then another horse came out, a red one. Its rider was given power to take away peace (prosperity, rest) from the earth and to make people kill each other (butcher, slaughter, to maim violently, in streets), and he was given a big sword (assassins sword, terrorist, loud, mighty, sore afraid).

The U.S. Air Force has begun to airlift French soldiers and equipment to assist in the battle against Islamic militants.

Five transport flights have already taken place with more planned through the rest of the week. Currently 2,000 French troops have been placed in the country to stop the southern advance of the terrorist group.

France continues to insist that they will be turning over control of the fight to a West African military force that currently has 1,000 troops in place.

A Pentagon spokesman told Reuters that the mission of the U.S. troops is to transport armored vehicles and other bulky items.

In addition to the U.S. participation, Britain, Canada, Denmark, Belgium and Italy have agreed to provide transport services for French troops.
