Severe Weather Could Cause Major Hunger Crisis

Revelation 6:5,6 NCV When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse, and its rider held a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard something that sounded like a voice coming from the middle of the four living creatures. The voice said, "A quart of wheat for a day's pay, and three quarts of barley for a day's pay, and do not damage the olive oil and wine!"

“Although the United States remains the breadbasket of the world, a drought, heat wave, or changing weather patterns in the U.S, could have devastating effects throughout the global food supply.”

-Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”

“We are entering a new era of rising food prices and spreading hunger. Food supplies are tightening everywhere and land is becoming the most sought-after commodity as the world shifts from an age of food abundance to one of scarcity. The geopolitics of food is fast overshadowing the geopolitics of oil.”

Those chilling words from Lester Brown of the Earth policy research center in Washington come as the United Nations is reporting that grain reserves worldwide have reached such a critical point that extreme weather in the United States or other major food exporting nations next year could cause a major hunger crisis.

Abdolreza Abbassian, senior economist with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), stated that nations have run down reserves to the point that the average amount of remaining grain in storage fell from 107 days to 74 days.

“We’ve not been producing as much as we are consuming,” Abbassian told the Guardian newspaper. “Supplies are now very tight across the world and reserves are at a very low level. [There is] no room for unexpected events next year.”

The FAO reports that prices on wheat and corn are so high that they are almost to the point that caused food riots in 25 countries in 2008. Consumption of food worldwide will exceed production for the sixth time in 11 years in 2012.

  1. I have to say, I really love Food for Health and admire Frank Davis. I don’t think we will regret one thing we have bought from Jim and Frank. I believe as Jim does, something big is coming. I watched the program with the water containers today. Love the idea of making tables to kinda keep your house looking nice. Have to say the round buckets of food, one stacked on another make nice round tables. I just place an old microwave glass round over them. I am so impressed with the generator they offer. The outlets are great. In a place where I cannot purchase one yet. Due to 3 years of testing with cancer, now cancer free praise God and my husbands injuries and extreme cut in salary. But I will tell you I tell people about them. Post about it. I want my friends and family to be ready. I gave some buckets to my daughter, felt I should. They camp. Told her they would be great for camping. Right after that she lost her job and with money tight those were her meals. Same with my hubby and I who at one time was a fabulous chef. He likes the food. I like the food and you can add to it, stuff out of your garden. Like herbs or arugala, whatever you have growing. May God Bless the people working tirelessly to get people prepared.
