Aleppo’s Main Square Bombed

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

“We have so devalued human life in our society that for many people it is a small thing to kill another person.”

-Jim Bakker in “Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse”

In what the BBC described as rebel forces “aiming to cause the biggest psychological as well as physical blow to state presence in” Aleppo, many buildings in the city’s main square were leveled in bomb attacks Wednesday.

At least 33 people were killed in the assault.

A military officer’s club and a hotel received the worst of the damage. Reports state that rebel homicide bombers were behind the attacks.

“It was like a series of earthquakes,” a resident told the Associated Press. “It was terrifying.”

Government troops have been unable to dislodge the Syrian rebel forces from the city.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that most of the dead in the bombings were regime troops.
