Sylvania, Alabama government officials are vowing to fight the anti-Christian organization Freedom From Religion Foundation over their threats to sue over town signs that quote Scripture.
“We as Christians have got to stand up regardless of what the world might say about us,” acting Sylvania mayor Max Turner told Fox News.
FFRF claims the signs entering Sylvania welcoming people to town are “not welcoming” because it says “Ephesians 4:5 – One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.” They claim the sign affiliates the government with one religion while excluding others.
The town’s mayor originally removed the signs but then had to resign due to an “unrelated matter”. The acting mayor and city council returned the signs.
“We as Christians should stand up for what we believe in as much as [other] people stand up for what they believe in,” Turner said.
This is a true stand for this country! If we can stand for Christ in the political arena, let’s abide in God in every arena! For one I also stand firm on waiting for marriage and obstain from fornication! A true way to honor God with our body, His temple.

Finally! A town with some intestinal fortitude! Too bad our larger cities don’t
have some council members, mayors, etc. with some backbone.

AMEN!! The CHURCH as a whole needs to get behind this town. We all need to be praying for our country and our politicians or the USA as we know it will be GONE!! GOD is watching……
It’s about time someone starts fighting for our rights as Christians–I don’t have a problem with them being atheists and if they want to put up a sign against the Bible outside of my town OK! but if I want to put up a sign promoting the Bible I should be able to do it.
Don’t let them make you take down the signs–let them know they can put up a sign proclaiming their beliefs or unbeliefs. Also, you haven’t said other religions can’t put up a sign–maybe their consciences are hurting!
we as Christians all need to stand up for Christ and march for Him the way all these anti-Christians, gays and lesbians and all these other organizations march etc! Praise God you are strong through Him to do so!

I pray they don’t give up and will win their fight. It is time all Christians stand up for God and quit letting a few people dictate to the many.
